Where did the summer go!?!

I can't believe that I haven't worked on my Miracle Dear Jane from 2 months! Where did the summer go!?! Life has been a roller coaster! My dear hunny has been dealing with not only dialysis, but debilitating headaches. They're right up there migraines. Nausea, vomiting, the whole kit & caboodle!

Then to top things off, when I went to my annual physical, they found problems with my liver. After waiting 6 months and finding that most of the function came down, the bilirubin had not. After an ultrasound, doc pretty much thinks I have fatty liver disease (well, he didn't say that, but hinted at it). I have NEVER had an alcoholic drink in my life and now I have the same disease as an alcoholic. What!?! Fatty liver is literally what it's name is. Except that the fat isn't the same as the fat that gets deposited everywhere else. So, where does it come from? The jury is still out!

I have to change my lifestyle for the next 2 months and get tested again. If it's working, then we'll go a year and test again. If it doesn't work, I have no idea what the next step is. AGGRAVATION!

When my hubby was put on dialysis, they handed him a book that had EVERYTHING he needed to know about his disease. Me - all they told me was to eat a low fat diet and detox my liver. Let the research begin!

  2. Hang In there... I know dandelion root capsules, flax seed oil & fresh lemon juice are liver tonics... Quilting has also been proven effective therapy against stress induced by mysterious ailments...
